This recording of Italian born and Brussels based Harp Player Vera Cavallin is an ode to the architecture of music. The building of de Vylder, Vinck & Taillieu feels like a workplace in the best possible way, favoring solution over decision. The activity inside and outside is what shaped (and shapes) the building which houses a Dance Company as well as an Architectural office and is set in a historical site and culturally active area close to the center of Ghent. Cavallin shaped and built her music there, by preparing the harp and using extended techniques which work with physical resonance and acoustic timbre and allow the immediate environment to participate. The harp can be seen as an architectural form and the building as the music surrounding it.
